Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Pablito uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our Service.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which serve comparable purposes.
How We Use Cookies and Local Storage
Pablito primarily uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) for core functionality. Your authentication token is stored in localStorage and is never sent as a cookie header. This means most of our data storage is not subject to traditional cookie consent requirements, but we disclose it here for full transparency.
- Authentication token (localStorage): Keeps you logged in to your account. Essential for Service functionality. Duration: 7 days. Cannot be disabled while using the Service.
- Language preference (localStorage): Remembers your selected language (English or French). Essential. Duration: persistent until changed.
- Cookie consent preference (localStorage): Records whether you have accepted or rejected optional cookies. Essential. Duration: persistent.
- Theme and UI preferences (localStorage): Stores your display settings. Essential. Duration: persistent.
- How you found us (localStorage, "pablito_attribution"): Set only after you click "Accept". Keeps how you found Pablito (the link or the kind of website you came from), so it can be saved with your account if you sign up. Optional. Duration: 30 days. Not stored if you click "Decline".
Third-Party Cookies
Third-party services we use may set their own cookies: Stripe (Payment Processing): When you make a payment, Stripe may set cookies necessary for fraud detection and payment security. These are essential for completing transactions. See Stripe's Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookie-settings. PostHog (Analytics): Only if you click "Accept", PostHog measures how Pablito is used and keeps its data in localStorage. If you click "Decline", PostHog is not started. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not engage in cross-site tracking.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, blocking essential cookies or clearing localStorage may prevent the Service from functioning properly (e.g., you will be logged out). The only optional storage is analytics (PostHog) and "How you found us" described above. Both are used only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.
Changes to This Policy
If we begin using additional cookies or tracking technologies, we will update this policy and notify you through our cookie consent mechanism.
